Breaking News: ISO Fails To Ratify Open XML



Office Open XML (has not been ratified as a standard by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). An official ISO announcement is expected shortly. It was a close call: 74% of ISO countries voted to support Open XML as a standard. But for a standard to be ratified, you need 75%. France voted against, Hungary abstained.
